The diversity of the over-35 crowd makes it imperative to market to people specifically interested in your product or event, experts say. "Unless you are talking about people in their 70s or 80s, I would advise you to start by describing all of the characteristics of your audience other than age," says consultant Dick Stroud. Experts also stress the importance of social-media marketing as well as a good website that includes video.
