Intel: Wi-Di is coming to mobile Web devices -- eventually

Intel said last week that smartphones and other devices with wireless Web connectivity would be able to incorporate its Wi-Di display technology to stream HD content to TV sets and other large-screen products. The chip maker did not offer a time frame for the development. "Any of the Intel-based devices you have will be able to handle that seamless wireless communication of HD video between that device and the big screen," CEO Paul Otellini said at an investors' conference.
