Israeli curriculum is including lessons on Jewish Americans

Israeli schools are for the first time teaching secondary-school students about the contributions of American Jews to Jewish people after the Holocaust, and a curriculum that includes a focus on American Jews is expected to be in place by fall 2012. Educators say the new curriculum might help close a divide between Jewish people in Israel and those in the US.
