Some Texas students could take 10 classes per semester

Officials at Lakeview Centennial High School in Garland, Texas, are considering expanding students' block scheduling to include 10 classes per semester, rather than eight. The change is being considered because of an influx of students and new state requirements that will put more pressure on students to complete career classes in addition to core academic subjects. The schedule change also could help to reduce class sizes.
