Study: Quicker weight loss offers longer-lasting results

Researchers found that obese women who continuously lost an average of at least 1.5 pounds a week were more likely to lose more weight and keep the excess weight off longer compared with those who lost weight at a slower pace. The researchers said the women in the fast-losing group were more committed to the weight-loss program.
