Vending-machine prices in Colorado to rise

Vending-machine companies in Colorado are raising prices on soft drinks and candies as a new 2.9% sales tax goes into effect. Although critics say the tax is being used as an excuse to raise prices, vending-machine company officials counter that they are also passing on price increases from wholesalers, plus the added expense of tracking which products are taxed.
