Vending machine prices in Colorado to rise

Vending machine companies in Colorado are raising prices on soft drinks and candies as a new 2.9% sales tax goes into effect. Although critics say the tax is being used as an excuse to raise prices, vending machine company officials counter that they are also passing on price increases from wholesalers, plus the added expense of tracking which products are taxed.
