The $1.3 billion project to raise the Bayonne Bridge between New York and New Jersey has been approved by the Coast Guard. "We’re looking forward to seeing the project proceed," said Coast Guard spokesman Chief Warrant Officer Russell Tippets. It is scheduled to be finished in 2017.
