Judge orders Dow Chemical to pay $1.2B in price-fixing case

A federal judge has refused to overturn a jury verdict in a price-fixing case involving Dow Chemical. The jury had reached a $400 million verdict in the case, but the judge tripled that, telling Dow to pay $1.2 billion. Dow has disputed the allegations, and the company plans to appeal, according to a spokeswoman.
