Many deadlines will remain in effect on days IRS shuts down this summer

The Internal Revenue Service is shutting down on at least five days this summer due to the federal government's sequestration budget cuts. The IRS is warning taxpayers that many tax deadlines will not be postponed just because they fall on a day when the IRS is closed. However, certain administrative deadlines are being postponed to the next business day.
