Mass. bill would fine drivers for smoking in cars with children

Massachusetts state Rep. Paul Heroux, D-Attleboro, introduced a bill that would prohibit smoking inside cars with child passengers. Under the bill's provisions, anyone caught violating the law would be fined $100. The smoking ban would be difficult to enforce, but it may make people think twice before smoking with children inside a vehicle, Heroux said.
