FCC moves forward with Net neutrality plan in 3-2 vote

The Federal Communications Commission, in a party-line vote, is moving forward with its Net neutrality plan and will seek comments on several proposals, including the possibility that broadband will be reclassified as a Title II service. FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler said the proposal is about "[standing] up for consumers and an open Internet," saying that "the prospect of a gatekeeper choosing winners and losers on the Internet is unacceptable."
