The average Web designer may not have the budget of major brands and agencies when it comes to designing sites so that they that incorporate emotional psychology to engage visitors, but designers can take cues from the promo pages built by industry giants, writes Nataly Birch. McD Café from McDonald's relies on high-quality images and chalkboard typography to encourage snacking, while Mobility from Siemens uses a video background to engage users across the site. "Promo websites of leading manufacturers should become gurus for those who want to be on-trend and implement new techniques," writes Birch.
