New talks on reducing farm tariffs begin this week

An international group of trade diplomats will begin talks this week on cutting tariffs on imported farm goods, such as Japan's 500% tariff on rice. The U.S. and EU have said they are open to new proposals on tariffs, and the head of the World Trade Organization said new strategies should be developed by June.
