Wyndham International has learned cutting prices that annoy guests can increase profits while making guests happier. After watching hotel room phone usage and minibar sales plunge while guest complaints about the services' prices increased, Wyndham cut its minibar prices and eased up on phone call, fax and Internet fees for its best guests and has reaped impressive returns.
