Schering-Plough hepatitis C treatment better in small study

The therapy was more successful than a similar combination of drugs from Roche in a comparison study of treating patients at the Cleveland Clinic between 2001 and 2004, according to a report at the Digestive Disease Week meeting in Chicago. Clinic officials said a higher percentage of patients who received the Schering-Plough eliminated the virus, especially if they were obese.
