Fox hit "24" is set in real time, but watched on TiVo

Among Top 40 shows, serial espionage thriller "24" is the most watched on DVR, according to data from Nielsen Media Research, with only "Lost" and "Survivor" approaching it. But far from being the death knell of ad supported shows, writes David Leonhardt in The New York Times, DVR technology "may help them, by increasing the audience for top shows like "24" at the expense of shows that just happen to be on when you turn on your set."
