Gardasil said to protect women against two additional cancers

An international study found using the human papillomavirus vaccine Gardasil to guard against cervical cancer also protects women against two other cancers. The study in this week's issue of The Lancet said HPV also is associated with vulval and vaginal cancers, so the Merck vaccine provides women those additional protections.
