Verizon to roll out quad play this year

Verizon Communications Chief Operating Officer Denny Strigl said his company would bundle voice, video, high-speed Internet and cell phone services in some markets later this year to better compete against cable companies. While cable companies such as Comcast and Time Warner Cable are working on quad-play offerings through their joint venture with Sprint Nextel, Strigl said Verizon would be able to hit markets sooner because all of its services are under one roof.
