New South Wales government hopes to retain more teachers

Half of the teachers in New South Wales, Australia, will reach retirement age within seven years, and the attrition rate of new teachers has increased, causing some to be concerned about retaining enough teachers in the region. "The way to deal with it is to support young teachers with more mentors, help them deal with challenging students and give them more opportunity for professional development," an official said.
