Steele says gay-marriage benefits will affect small firms

As small businesses spend more on health care and other benefits, Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele said Saturday, the party needs to recast its issues over gay marriage to show how it affects the pocketbook. Steele used the gay-marriage example as a way to show how the party can appeal to young voters and minorities better without abandoning conservative principles.
