Company develops biofuel engine for light aviation

A South African company has developed a liquid-cooled engine for light aviation that can run on biofuel or liquid petroleum gas. ADEPT Airmotive developed the engine, and tested it on a SA Ravin 500 at the Virginia Airport in Durban. "Our technology benchmarks South Africa against the finest aviation engineering in the world," said Andre Schoeman, chairman of ADEPT Airmotive.
