Mich. county may boost cost of animal adoption to pay for vet care

The Jackson County Board of Commissioners in Michigan is set to consider Tuesday a proposal that would increase the cost of adopting pets from the county's animal shelter. The measure is aimed at making sure that all adoptable pets are sterilized and receive tests and vaccinations before leaving the shelter.
