Panasonic and Samsung recently introduced innovative point-and-shoot digital cameras -- the DMC-ZS7 and the HZ35W models, respectively -- that offer everything from extremely high-magnification zoom lenses to the ability to geo-tag photos. According to this report, the devices are at the leading edge in a new trend among camera makers to keep pace with today's smartphones and their on-board cameras.
