Rebound in holiday travel means fuller planes, higher fares

The economic recovery is fueling a comeback in holiday travel, leading to fuller flights and increased fares. "People seem to feel more confident about travel and the economy in general," says Genevieve Brown, senior editor at Travelocity. Domestic airfares booked through Travelocity have jumped 16% from last year's Memorial Day weekend to the same period this year, while international fares have surged 21%.
