USPS hopes to foster awareness of dog-bite prevention

With mail carriers being among the most frequent dog-bite victims, according to AVMA, the U.S. Postal Service seeks to inform the public and animal owners about the risk of unrestrained pets during National Dog Bite Prevention Week. "A little education and help from the customers to keep their dogs restrained goes a long way in keeping the carriers safe," said the supervisor of the Columbus Post Office in Nebraska.
