CMS allows states flexibility on Medicaid

CMS is gradually allowing states more flexibility in how they administer Medicaid programs by eliminating some requirements for waivers. For example, CMS has not required waivers for some states' integrated delivery models, and states have been allowed to adjust copays for nonpreferred drugs. The agency is also streamlining the approval process for waivers.
