EU approves Tryton Medical's side-branch short stent

European regulators have granted Tryton Medical the CE mark for its Side Branch Short Stent, which is used to treat bifurcation lesions in the side branch and main artery. The device, which is restricted to investigational use in the U.S., is shorter in the main branch zone by 3 millimeters compared with the company's original Side Branch Stent.
