Japan's machinery orders post biggest jump since 2005

Orders for machinery in Japan rose 14.2% in March, well above the 2.8% median market forecast. It was the biggest one-month increase in machinery orders in eight years. Factory orders are widely viewed as a leading indicator for private-sector capital spending.
