Texas Senate approves NICU accreditation bill

The Texas Senate approved and sent to the governor a bill to create accreditation standards that would be used to rank hospital NICUs based on quality of care. HB 15 would implement interim findings of a neonatal intensive care council created by the Legislature last year and establish a Perinatal Advisory Council to develop the quality measures.
