College-prep program broadens Baltimore teens' dreams

A national college-preparatory program is helping lower-income students capable of more challenging work but need more tutoring than is often offered in such classes. Together, 26 of the 117 Baltimore teens in the Advancement Via Individual Determination curriculum earned more than $1 million in college scholarships.
