Microsoft to acquire aQuantive for $6B

Software giant Microsoft has agreed to a $66.50-per-share acquisition of Seattle-based interactive firm aQuantive -- a sale price that represents an 85% markup over Thursday's closing price. The deal is part of a wave of acquisitions in the interactive advertising space, including Google's purchase of DoubleClick and WPP Group's purchase of 24/7 Real Media.
