Banking sector more measured as it starts emerging from crisis

Although recovery of the banking industry is expected to take some time, it is not expected to wind up where it left off before the detour of the financial crisis. Instead, the industry is expected to be a bit tamer and considerably less profitable. Getting a handle on what will be the industry's normal depends largely on how quickly governments extricate themselves from rescue efforts made within the sector and on what terms.
