Design for vertical farm comes out of Vancouver challenge

As part of an effort to become the most sustainable city in the world, Vancouver recently challenged architects to design innovative green buildings. The Harvest Green Tower, designed by Romses Architects, would include a plain for grazing livestock, a bird habitat, a tower for fruits and vegetables, commercial space and transit lines, among other things. The top of the building would include a rainwater cistern.
