Shops getting tougher with clients over payments, contracts

Omnicom Group, which in its contracts with vendors stipulates it won't be paid until the holding company is reimbursed by the client, is among the agencies taking steps to limit vulnerability to clients who can't pay their bills because of the economic slowdown. But some shops, out of concern they will alienate current or future clients, might be reluctant to adopt tougher payment policies, according to this article.
