Women business owners seen as agile, optimistic, responsive

Women who own businesses are taking a realistic approach to the economy but remain optimistic about their ability to expand their companies, says Sharon Hadary, former executive director of the nonprofit Center for Women's Business Research. "Women have a sense of control that is different from men, and they have the agility to respond to changes in the economy," Hadary said at a recent luncheon with a group in Maine.
