OSHA amends steel erection standards to enhance safety

The Occupational Health and Safety Administration has added a technical amendment to its steel erection standards that requires a registered engineer to prepare drawings for bridge falsework. The amendment comes after a steel bridge girder collapsed in Golden, Colo., in 2004, killing three people.
