Shell's Alaskan drilling project is safe, exec says

Royal Dutch Shell maintained that its Alaskan drilling program is safe and not vulnerable to the same conditions that resulted in the Gulf of Mexico oil spill. Marvin Odum, president of Shell Oil, said the company prepared different "blowout contingency plans" for the Chukchi and Beaufort seas and that it has readied oil-spill response teams.
