In criminal cases, the best defense is a dose of eye candy, according a study. Researchers from Cornell University found that ugly defendants are 22% more likely to be convicted, and are sentenced to an average of 22 months longer in prison than their more good-looking counterparts. "It bears out what many of us knew in our gut," says one defense lawyer.
