AABB division to help Papua New Guinea with transfusion program

The CDC awarded AABB's International Technical Assistance Division a contract to provide technical assistance in Papua New Guinea in its effort to improve blood safety. AABB, in partnership with the Australian Red Cross, will help the country build its blood transfusion capacity and identify staff members who can provide training, supervision and mentoring. AABB will also conduct two weeklong training sessions on proper use of blood.
