CN expands intermodal terminal in Canada, plans new one in Wisconsin

Canadian National is overhauling its Brampton Intermodal Terminal, Canada's largest intermodal complex, in Ontario. The expansion includes laying new track, extending existing rails and increasing the staging area for international containers. Brampton is CN's biggest terminal, and intermodal volumes through April jumped 12% versus the comparable period last year. The railroad also unveiled plans for an intermodal shipping facility in Chippewa Falls, Wis. The hub would receive rail containers loaded with consumer goods and transfer loads to trucks.
