Delta to take over more slots at New York's LaGuardia

Delta Air Lines could double its daily departures from New York's LaGuardia airport under a trade deal that gives it most of US Airways Group's slots. The move would help Delta gain more full-fare business travelers and widen its advantage over American Airlines in the busiest aviation market in the world. "For the first time in perhaps its 80-year history, American is facing a truly serious contender for the business traveler at LaGuardia," said Henry Harteveldt, an analyst at Forrester Research.
