Hesse talks LTE and WiMAX strategy, defends price increases

Sprint Nextel CEO Dan Hesse said the carrier has held talks with partner Clearwire and other carriers on network-sharing deals, but he declined to say whether LightSquared was among those companies. He reiterated that Sprint would disclose its Long-Term Evolution plans this summer, and at an investors conference Tuesday, he defended recent cost increases, saying they were necessary for Sprint to continue offering unlimited service packages.
