When Kristina Anderson and Amy Cooper moved to Philadelphia to start their MBA studies, they lacked a local network to help find things such as apartments, restaurants and hair salons. After surveying fellow students, the pair launched Chattersource, a website offering recommendations and reviews specifically for the college crowd. By listening to the market, they discovered new revenue sources in items such as used furniture, and now they are eying expansion into new college towns.
