Report: Apps are used much more on smartphones than tablets

Users tap applications on smartphones 85% of the time, compared with 15% for Web browsing, mobile-analytics firm Zokem found. Meanwhile, apps on tablets are accessed 61% of the time, compared with 39% for Internet. The differential might be screen size, with tablets' bigger screen better suited to browsing, said Zokem researcher Jing Wu.
