Startups vanish in Silicon Valley stampede for talent

Silicon Valley's big players are acquiring promising startups only to shut them down and hire on their creators, such is the appetite for top-notch talent among the likes of Facebook, Google and Zynga. One down side is that venture investors in the startups aren't always pleased when the prospect of a big return on their funding evaporates.
