Vitamin E levels in algae vary by season, researchers say

Research on alpha-tocopherol levels in five kinds of algae revealed those levels are altered by seasonal effects. The finding "is so remarkable that it warrants further study to determine if these changes are caused by environmental or morphological factors," said the researchers, who are based in Brazil.
