Survey: Customer reviews key to restaurant success

GE Capital Franchise Finance asked a group of restaurant franchisees what they see as the most important factors in promoting their establishments. About 56% say online customer reviews and ratings are more influential than traditional advertising. They particularly note the importance of websites with user-generated, word-of-mouth content, such as Yelp and Urbanspoon.
