An impassioned Maryland mom challenges sex-ed program

Montgomery County, Md., schools recently put a controversial sex-education curriculum for eighth- and 10th-graders on hold pending court challenges, due in large part to the efforts of Michelle Turner, a stay-at-home, devoutly Mormon mother of four. While the school board's curriculum contends homosexuality is involuntary and acceptable, Turner's Citizens for a Responsible Curriculum advocacy group charge it would expose students to an unbalanced, one-sided viewpoint.
