Opinion: One measure can't capture a school's worth

New Orleans Times-Picayune reporter Drew Broach cautions that Newsweek magazine's recent list of the top U.S. high schools is one of the many simplistic measures of school performance that should not be used in isolation. He says even helpful sites like the National Center for Education Statistics and Standard & Poor's School Matters can't replace the info gleaned from a personal visit to the school and talks with its administrators.
